B & E.S. (formerly HVCA)
Building & Engineers Services Contractors (B & ES)
B&ES (formerly HVCA) is the UK's leading professional body for building engineering services contractors.
Founded in 1904, it adds value to members' businesses by providing quality services, promoting excellence and shaping the commercial environment through representation and leadership.
B&ES represents the interests of firms active in the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration (hvacr) products and equipment.
B&ES members are subject to regular, third-party competence and assessment to ensure their technical and commercial competence.
Members benefit from access to a wide range of services, which are carefully tailored to their needs, and which help them to build better and more sustainable businesses. All B&ES members are subject to a thorough Competence Assessment process carried out by an independent third party every year with a full site inspection at least every three years.
Introduced in 2003, this process reinforced membership of B&ES as a true 'badge of quality'.
The association is also leading the sector's efforts to deliver a more sustainable built environment through technical guidance, training and supporting new ways of working.
