Two new RHPP competitions for social landlords

Following a successful competition last year as part of the Renewable Heat Premium Payment (RHPP) scheme, DECC is launching two further competitions for registered providers of social housing, to bid for funds to install renewable heating technologies in their housing stock. £6m has been set aside for these competitions which launched 2nd May 2013.

The competitions are open to all registered social landlords; this includes local authorities, charities, private companies and partnerships.

McDermott Renewables and The Energy Savings Trust are keen to support a wide range of social landlords and are therefore launching two separate competitions:

  1. A ‘Fast- Track’ competition aimed at social landlords that have projects already in the pipeline;
  2. A ‘Reach–Out’ competition aimed at those social landlords who had previously thought the RHPP competition was not for them, or who need to find out more before committing and require support with applications.
