This consisted of an entire body engineering design and full vehicle packaging plan. Electric vehicle sales in the UK have risen significantly in the last few years. Decisions to purchase an EV may be based on the desire to go green or the owner is fascinated by the technology.

The team needed to start at the very beginning to completely rethink and redesign a vehicle. The concept engineering programme included packaging and concept design, packaging buck, and climate and cooling test mule vehicle.

The engineering programme to Final Data Judgement (FDJ) included a body engineering outsourced programme and delivery programme to full engineering release.

The body engineering programme comprised of:

– Interior Trim
– Exterior Trim
– CAE
– Studio Support

The JLR car successfully went on to win World Car of the Year 2019 and EuroCarbody 2018.
